Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP)

Who we are:
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) of Immaculate Conception Church conference is part of a world-wide Catholic organization that addresses the two great commandments: love of God and love of neighbor. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and all proceeds go towards our cause. Although any request is considered, the bulk of requests involve help with rent, electricity, water and heating fuel. 100% of our funding comes from donations.

Our conference meets twice a month. The first meeting is in-person on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00 pm in the Parish Center. The second meeting is via Zoom, the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm.

Goals Fulfilled:

In 2023:
~ Our conference helped 558 people in 212 households, expending $26,277.

In 2024 (October 2023 - September 2024): 

• Assisted 77 households, expending $7,048.80 towards rent/utilities/etc.
• Assisted 40 families with Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners expending $2,900.

• Assisted 45 households - expending $6,195.56 towards rent/utilities/etc.

• Assisted 75 households - expending $9,076.69
• Thank you all who either donated items or came to our annual yard sale.  We had a successful event and all monies received goes to help our neighbors in need.
  

• Assisted 78 Households - expending $11,626.51.
• Thank you all who supported the Friends of the Poor Walk. 

• Assisted 278 Households  - expending $33,947.56
• Thank you to all that have donated or volunteered their time to the Society.   Without you we would not be able to reach out and help our neighbors that are in need.

• Place a donation in the collection basket or the poor box (made out to SVdP-ICC)
• Donate to the Special Collection on November 24, 2024, “SVdP Christmas Project”
• Participate in fundraising events:
• Annual yard sale.
• Annual Friends of the Poor Walk..
• Donate your car (details at svdpusa.org/donate) or used clothing (place in donation container beside Helping Hands building).

Upcoming Fundraisers:

Sneakers for Good - Gently Used or New Sneakers being collected in the Church Narthex (entrance area) for a short time starting 10/1/24.  Help keep sneakers out of the landfills and support communities all over the world.
